Martinelli makes his decision
Martinelli’s camp has informed Arsenal that the 25-year-old does not want to move to Galatasaray. According to the reports, there was also no agreement between the player and the Turkish club over personal terms, meaning the proposed transfer cannot progress despite the size of Galatasaray’s offer.
The €45m proposal would represent a significant fee for Arsenal, who are considering changes to their attacking options this summer. The Guardian also reported that Galatasaray’s offer was around £38m, while Arsenal have been assessing whether to cash in on some players as they continue to reshape Mikel Arteta’s squad.
Strong season despite reduced Premier League role
Martinelli remains an experienced Arsenal attacker, having joined the club from Ituano in 2019. He featured 53 times for Arsenal across all competitions during the 2025/26 season, scoring 11 goals and providing seven assists, according to Goal's season record.
His Premier League numbers were more modest, with 30 appearances, one goal and four assists, while he added six goals and two assists in 14 Champions League matches. With Martinelli now rejecting Galatasaray, Arsenal will have to determine whether another offer can change the situation or whether the Brazilian remains part of their plans for the new campaign.
