Napoli need Lukaku sale to reshape squad
Lukaku remains under contract with Napoli until June 2027, but the Italian club are now actively looking for a solution. Reports indicate that Napoli have set an asking price in the region of €15 million, while Fenerbahçe are aiming for a lower fee. The player's representatives are also involved in discussions as the two sides work towards a possible agreement.
The Belgian's 2025/26 season was severely disrupted by injury. He made only six appearances for Napoli in Serie A and the Champions League combined, scoring once and registering no assists, according to FBref. His Serie A campaign consisted of five appearances and 44 minutes, while he played another nine minutes in the Champions League.
Fenerbahçe see Lukaku as a major attacking addition
Fenerbahçe have been pursuing Lukaku for some time and the striker is understood to be open to the Turkish option. Reports suggest he wants a salary of around €10 million per season, which could become one of the key issues in negotiations alongside the transfer fee. Lukaku has also rejected approaches from Saudi Arabia and MLS, with staying in Europe reportedly his priority.
