Spence ready for a new challenge
The 26-year-old England international has become a versatile option at Tottenham since establishing himself in the first-team squad. Spence can operate on either side of the defence, a quality that has increased his value after a difficult start to his Spurs career. Tottenham's official profile notes that he made 41 appearances in all competitions in 2024/25, while available 2025/26 data credits him with 44 appearances, no goals and no assists across competitions.
Inter searching for a new full-back
Inter's interest comes as the Italian club look to replace Denzel Dumfries, who joined Real Madrid this summer. Spence is understood to be keen on the move, while his position at Tottenham has become less secure following the arrival of Andy Robertson and the expected return of Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro as the club's preferred full-backs. According to The Guardian, Tottenham are prepared to allow Spence to leave and negotiations are continuing over a fee.
A final agreement is still required before the transfer can be considered complete. If Inter and Tottenham settle the remaining financial details, Spence will leave north London for the Serie A champions after signing a new four-year contract with Spurs only last season.
