Danois remains under contract with Auxerre until June 2029.

Danois has emerged as an Auxerre regular

Danois, who was born in France on June 28, 2004, has established himself as an important part of the Auxerre midfield. The 22-year-old made 34 competitive appearances during the 2025/26 campaign, including 33 Ligue 1 matches, scoring three goals and providing one assist. He started 32 of those league games and played 2,830 minutes in the competition.

The midfielder's increased role represents a significant step in his development. After making only 22 Ligue 1 appearances in 2024/25, Danois became a regular starter the following season. His contract situation gives Auxerre a strong position in any negotiations, with the player tied to the French club until 2029.

Besiktas continue to reshape their midfield

Besiktas' interest comes as the club continue to reshape their squad during the summer window. Danois fits the profile of a young central midfielder who has already gained substantial Ligue 1 experience, although the negotiations are still at an early stage and no agreement between the clubs has been reported.

For now, talks in Istanbul are the main development. Besiktas will need to reach an agreement with Auxerre before the French midfielder can move to Turkey, while Danois' long-term contract could prove an important factor in determining the eventual fee.
