Why Sassuolo want Seriki
Seriki impressed throughout the 2025-26 Championship campaign with his pace, defensive reliability and attacking contributions from right-back. Sassuolo believe the English defender has the profile to adapt quickly to Italian football and see him as a player with room for further development despite already gaining regular first-team experience.
The Sheffield United academy graduate enjoyed the best season of his senior career, making 38 Championship appearances, scoring one goal and providing five assists. He featured in the vast majority of Sheffield United's league matches and established himself as one of the club's most consistent performers on the right flank.

The proposal includes a relatively low initial loan fee but a mandatory purchase clause that would take the total package to €6 million.
