Flamengo's Malcom dream hinges on Al Hilal transfer domino as talks continue

The Brazilian club remain in contact, but Al Hilal could wait until signing a replacement before making a decision

Flamengo are maintaining direct contact over a potential move for Malcom, but any concrete proposal will depend on Al Hilal's willingness to let the Brazilian winger leave. The Rio de Janeiro club are monitoring the situation closely and hope the Saudi side will open the door to negotiations if they complete the signing of a new attacking player.

Flamengo's Malcom dream hinges on Al Hilal transfer domino as talks continue

Al Hilal waiting on attacking reinforcements

Al Hilal are actively pursuing high-profile wingers, with Luis Díaz and Pedro Neto among their priority targets. Club officials are expected to reassess Malcom's future if one of those deals is completed, potentially allowing the former Barcelona and Zenit star to leave before the transfer window closes. At this stage, however, no agreement has been reached and Flamengo are waiting for the right moment to formalize their interest.

Malcom, 29, enjoyed another productive 2025/26 season with Al Hilal. The Brazilian forward made 48 appearances in all competitions, scoring 18 goals and providing 11 assists, while helping the Saudi giants compete for domestic and international trophies. He has also amassed 143 appearances and 49 goals since joining the club in 2023.

Flamengo remain on standby

Flamengo's strategy is clear: wait for Al Hilal to reshape their attacking options before making a concrete move. If the Saudi club secure either Luis Díaz or Pedro Neto, Malcom's path to a return to Brazilian football could become significantly easier. Until then, the discussions remain informal, with the next steps depending entirely on Al Hilal's activity in the transfer market.
