Final meeting to complete Almada transfer
Only minor details remain before Flamengo can officially unveil one of their biggest signings of the transfer window. The player's representative is scheduled to meet José Boto on Saturday to finalize the agreement, with all major terms between Flamengo and Atlético Madrid already settled.
If everything proceeds as planned, Almada will travel to Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday to undergo the final formalities before signing his contract. The 24-year-old is expected to wear the No. 23 shirt at Flamengo.
Flamengo secure a major addition
Almada arrives after another impressive campaign in Europe. During the 2025/26 season, the attacking midfielder made 43 appearances across all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing 13 assists, once again highlighting his creativity and attacking quality.
