Chelsea have finalized the signing of Valentín Barco from Strasbourg after all transfer documents were officially signed. The agreement between the clubs had already been reached in May, and the Argentine defender is now set to be announced as the Blues' newest player.

Barco set for Stamford Bridge arrival
The transfer has entered its final stage, with every contractual detail completed between Chelsea, Strasbourg and the player. Barco is expected to be officially unveiled in the coming days as Chelsea continue strengthening their squad ahead of the new season.
The 21-year-old is regarded as one of Argentina's brightest defensive talents. Comfortable at left-back, wing-back and in midfield, Barco is valued for his technical ability, creativity and composure in possession.
Chelsea add another young talent
